Dear
Central Family Members:
As we mentioned last week, this Sunday we plan to present
our Strategic Plan for 2008 again. Evidently, the
presentation originally raised as many questions as it
answered, so we wanted to give you the information once
again. We also want to re-emphasize, in writing, the fact
that this strategic plan has been unanimously approved by
the shepherds and ministry staff. We have again chosen
Randy to present the Strategic Plan for us because of his
obvious gift and talent of communication, but the message
is from all seven of us. Please be with us on Sunday to
have your questions answered in this presentation which
should help us all better understand our plans and goals
for 2008.
One of our goals in our Strategic Plan is the “Commitment
to Equip and Deploy Ministering Servants” at Central. As
part of our plans to fulfill that commitment, we want to
implement spiritual formation classes to train Central
members to be ministering servants. On Sundays, we have
numerous opportunities for spiritual formation.
First, our Women’s class is studying Beth Moore’s course on
the Book of Daniel. Our Auditorium class is studying I
Peter and how to deal with persecution in today’s world.
Our Men’s class will start again on April 6th and will
study Ken Blanchard’s book entitled “The Servant Leader.”
Our college age and high school classes continue their
studies.
On Wednesdays, our adult class meets on the first and third
weeks. The title is “Spiritual Formation” and is helping
with our growth and personal realization of what
spirituality is. Our teens and YWA continue to meet at
their normal times.
We hope all Central members will take advantage of these
opportunities for spiritual formation and development on
Sundays and Wednesdays. These are real steps in
implementation of our Strategic Plan to help Central
members grow and become more servant-oriented. We also hope
all members will plan to hear our presentation of the
Strategic Plan to help clear up any additional questions so
we can move forward in the development of our plan for
2008.
We look forward to seeing you Sunday.
In Him,
Your Shepherds
